A YOUNG engineer from the Hindhead Tunnel project was jailed for 12 months last Friday after killing his friend through drink-driving.

Daniel Callaghan, 23, had been out for an evening's drinking with workmates on Wednesday, February 11, when he lost control of his car on Woolmer Hill Road and hit a tree.
