SURREY Heritage is holding a one-off event at the Museum of Farnham on Saturday, April 2, as part of its four-year project ‘Surrey in the Great War: A Country Remembers’. One hundred years ago, the county was playing its part in the first global war between modern, industrialised nations. The conflict called for previously unthinkable sacrifices by the country’s people, young and old, rich and poor.

The event, is in the garden gallery from 11am-3pm – see www.exploringsurreyspast.org.uk.
