CHILDREN from Beacon Hill School were busy last week putting the finishing touches to "Mr and Mrs Guy" just before the half-term holiday.

Each year, according to school tradition, reception class children are helped by "buddies" from year six to stuff and dress Mr Guy.

But this year, because the school has an extra reception class, they helped make Mrs Guy too!

Mr and Mrs Guy will be placed on the bonfire for the village fireworks celebration tomorrow at Hindhead playing fields, from 4.30pm. The bonfire will be lit at 5pm and the fireworks are scheduled to go off from 5.30pm.

There will be a barbecue, toffee apples, candy floss and other refreshments available. The school parents' association, organising the event, asks that no dogs be brought, or sparklers used, although glow sticks will be available.

Tickets are available in advance from Beacon Hill post office, or the Magical Rooms in Grayshott or the school office.
