Haslemere Players are excited to be bringing the musical Little Shop of Horrors to Haslemere Hall.
The musical will run from Thursday, June 6 to Saturday, June 9 with a matinee on the Saturday!
The multi-award winning Broadway and West End sci-fi musical is based on the book by Howard Ashman. With well-known songs composed by Alan Menken in the style of early 1960s rock ‘n roll and Motown.
Story features Seymour, a meek and down-trodden florist’s shop assistant on Skid Row in New York who is oppressed by his employer Mushnik and he secretly admires his colleague Audrey.
The shop is failing and about to close when Seymour accidentally creates a strange alien plant – dubbed Audrey II. The R&B singing carnivore grows to enormous proportions as it sets out its mission to take over the world – with devastating consequences!
