A HASLEMERE resident and “loving mother” has been named by police as the victim of a fatal crash near Farnham on February 1.

Samantha Hutchison, 43, of Border End, was involved in a collision with a motorbike and a car on the A325 close to the junction with Binsted Road, at 5.25pm.

Paying tribute in a statement released by Hampshire Police on Friday, her family said: “She was a loving mother to a seven-year-old boy.”

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man from Liss, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, driving a vehicle that failed to stop after a road accident and driving a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report that accident.

He has been bailed until May 5.
