PEOPLE can learn more about the dark and mysterious history and legends associated with Hindhead and the Devil’s Punchbowl on a special self-guided trail for half term.
The free event from 10am to 2pm today through until February 23 is a chance for families to find out about the legends and stories that make Hindhead special, including Thor and the Devil, the Sailor’s Stone, Gibbet Hill and more.
On February 23, join in a special storytelling fire circle and meet a costumed interpreter, dressed as National Trust co-founder Robert Hunter, who lived in Haslemere until 1913. Visitors will have a chance to share their own stories if they wish, both real and imaginary.
Visitors can explore the natural play trail, too. Pick up a leaflet from the kiosk next to the cafe.
