AS PART of the Haslemere Museum’s celebration of the British Museum loan of the unique ancient Greek pottery, the internationally-renowned sculptor Philip Jackson is giving a talk at the museum at 7.30pm on March 4 entitled The Changing Face of Beauty.

Philip is a much-valued patron of the museum and will be talking about his efforts to understand the elusive gift of beauty – when the assessment of beauty began and why, and whether today’s beauty would have been seen as such by the early Anglo Saxons, the Romans or the Medieval man.

Philip is an internationally-admired gallery sculptor and some of his best known UK works include the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park, the Ghandi sculpture in Parliament Square and the equestrian sculpture of HM The Queen in the Windsor Great Park.

Tickets (£15 each, including a welcome drink) are available at www.haslemeremuseum.co.uk
