BOLLYWOOD came to Hindhead when pupils from St Ives and Beacon Hill schools teamed up for a dance workshop and performance.

At the event hosted by St Ives School, girls from year two were joined by 30 girls from Beacon Hill Primary School.

The session was led by dance instructor Kalpesh Zalavadiya from K’z Dance Entertainment, a London-based company specialising in Bollywood dance and fitness entertainment.

In just 90 minutes, Kalpesh created a dance routine involving all 40 pupils using dandiya sticks.

The children then performed for pupils and families from both schools and parents and staff were encouraged by Kalpesh to come up and learn some Bollywood moves of their own.
