LEADING UK wine expert Matthew Jukes proved to be a big draw at a Chiddingfold tasting event in aid of Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice care and GUTS bowel cancer charity.
Independent wine shop SWiG supported the event at which guests had the opportunity to taste many of Australia’s finest wines.
“We were absolutely thrilled to have over 100 people attending the 100 Best Australian Wines Tasting at Chiddingfold Village Hall,” Mr Jukes said. “The crowd loved the wines and it was so exciting to introduce people to some brand new wines and some old favourites, too.
“We managed to raise over £1,500 for Shooting Star and GUTS on the evening and this was down to Elizabeth Cook’s hard work and also the skill of the Aussie winemakers whose elite wines held everyone’s attention for two hours.
