Community transport provider hoppa is giving away free travel on its ‘Shoppa’ services throughout December to celebrate the close of its 20th anniversary year.

Richard Davies, general manager of Waverley hoppa, said: “Up to Christmas, you can travel free on the Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere Shoppa services.

“If you are not already a customer, just register on our website to enjoy free travel with us from December 1 to 23.

“So whether you want to meet friends, do some shopping or visit the hairdressers before Christmas, please book early to avoid disappointment.

“Remember, if you live in Farnham and have a valid bus pass, you can already travel with us for free once you are a registered customer.”

Mr Davies says the free shopping trips are hoppa’s way of saying thank you to its customers and the wider community for their support.

“This year we celebrated 20 years of serving our communities across Farnham, Cranleigh, Haslemere and Godalming and would like to thank our customers and supporters.

“Outside of the income we receive from fares, we rely on local funding, donations and fundraising so without regular and new customers and local commitment we simply could not operate.

“We would like to wish all local residents a very happy Christmas.”

Hoppa’s Shoppa service takes passengers from their homes to their chosen shopping destination – usually costing £3 (each way).

All hoppa’s vehicles are wheelchair accessible and hoppa’s drivers provide extra help to make sure customers get into their homes safely.

The charity’s website includes an easy-to-use form for registration. There is also a booking line on 01428 681701.
