AS comments closed over Applegarth Farm's outline planning application for 80 new homes near Grayshott, East Hampshire District Council had received 101 submissions from members of the public – with 75 people objecting to the development, and 26 people supporting it.
The farm owners want to build 80 houses, including 32 affordable homes with garages and parking spaces, a children's play area, a new access for vehicles, as well as providing open green space and a parking area.
Among those coming out against Applegarth Vale, the Grayshott Society has said: "This development is opportunistic in the assumption that EHDC is not able to meet its five-year housing land supply before the application is considered.
"Grayshott does not have a requirement to provide this housing and besides is the most densely populated village in this area in either EHDC or Waverley."
