THE Met Office has issued its first ice warning of 2019 with a band of rain and snow set to sweep across Surrey and Hampshire during Monday evening and overnight.

Roads, pavements and cycle paths may become slippery as a result, and the Met Office is warning of the potential for injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
Some roads and railways may also be affected, with longer journey times anticipated by road, bus and train services.
