The Hedgehogs have donated and installed a defibrillator at the Running Stream public house in Weybourne Road, Farnham.

With the agreement of Carolyn Edmond-Mack, the landlady of the Running Stream, it is located on the front wall of the pub and is available to the public 24 hours a day.

The Hedgehogs were assisted with the installation by the Aston Defibrillator Fund (ADF).

Keith Harris from the ADF said: “We were delighted to support and assist The Hedgehogs in installing another defibrillator in the local area, adding a further vital lifesaving resource to our community.

“A map showing the location of all public access defibrillators known to us in Farnham and the surrounding villages is available from our website at www.astondefibs.org.uk

“We encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with the location of their nearest defibrillators, bearing in mind 80 per cent of all out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in the home.”

Anyone wanting to know more about using a defibrillator can attend a free evening training session teaching simple skills that save lives and covering CPR and defibrillation.
