A NEW group for young parents has started up up at Tennyson’s Sure Start Children’s Centre, in Haslemere, on Tuesday, November 3.

Aimed at parents up to and including 24 years from the Haslemere, Hindhead and Beacon Hill area, the group hopes to offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where, if needed, support and advice can be accessed.

There will also be the chance to have baby weighed during regular visits from the health visitor.

Tennyson’s Sure Start spokesman Claire Matthes said: “Mainly though, it’s a chance to meet other young parents, have a chat and a cuppa and enjoy quality time with your baby.

“There may also be special one-off sessions such as Christmas crafts and baby massage if there is enough interest.”

The group is being run as free drop-in sessions with no need to book and held at Tennyson’s Sure Start Children’s Centre, St Bartholomews School, Derby Road, Haslemere from 1.30-2.30pm.
