HASLEMERE Chamber of Commerce has injected some "wow" factor into the town debate on the future of Wey Hill Fairground with ambitious proposals for a town square development with two-tier parking, a community use and shops that would make the area a focal point.
In response to a Haslemere Chamber of Commerce call to its members for new ideas, Hindhead-based architect Paul Sutton has drawn up an alternative plan – dubbed "Wow Hill" – which would transform the fairground into a town square and link it to a new recreational area over the road at St Christopher's Green.
