NEW under-14 football team Beacon Hill Titans now has more training equipment worth £300, thanks to its Liphook striker Oli Gardner (pictured), who goes to Churcher’s College in Petersfield.

Oli set up a GoFundMe page and aimed to raise £150 for the team, which was launched in September 2019.

It which trains at The Edge in Haslemere and has members from schools in Liphook, Haslemere, Petersfield, Bordon and Midhurst.

He was thrilled to raise twice that amount in a month and the team now has training ladders, cones, hurdles, a tactics board, water bottles and carriers and a foldaway substitutes’ bench.

It has also funded an end-of-year social in April.

Team administrator and parent Gwen Milligan said: “It was such a great idea.

“The fact Oli raised double his target from donations proves how much support he has.”
