BRAMSHOTT and Liphook parish councillors have now allocated the remaining grants for the current year.

They agreed to a late grant request from the Methodist Amateur Dramatics (MAD) Company, who have been staging their performances at the Millennium Centre since the beginning of last year, for £650.

Two pantos and two Gilbert and Sullivan operettas have been staged, with a Murder Mystery evening due to take place on Saturday, September 15.

Councillors expressed the hope that the company will be able to balance income with expenditure during the year, making further grants unneccessary.

In addition, they agreed to the remainder of the ‘grant in kind’ of £1,650 awarded to the Liphook Youth Club, which has already received a deposit of £500 towards its rental and running costs.

In return the youth club will supply its current safeguarding policy, details of DBS checks for all volunteers in contact with children, the club’s privacy policy and current insurance details.
