POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a Haslemere incident at 9am this morning involving a pedestrian and a lorry.

A woman in her 50s was left in a serious condition with "significant" leg injuries following the incident at Lion Green outside Haslemere Methodist Church.

Part of Hindhead Road was closed and traffic diversions were in operation while emergency services worked at the scene.
