More than 90 people attended mayor Peter Clist’s fundraising quiz at the Festival Hall.  Shine Radio’s Ian Crossman presided over a challenging quiz, with questions ranging from history to music and geometry.

In a tight contest, in which only three points separated the top seven teams, The Lifers came top with 63 points and went home with a well-stocked Easter basket. A popular choice of curries was supplied by the Spice Lounge and raffle prizes were generously given by several local businesses.

The proceeds will be shared equally between the Kings Arms and the Petersfield food bank, both represented by teams in the quiz.

Cllr Clist said: ‘It was a splendid evening and I thank everyone who supported it and helped make it a great success.”
