MORE than 900 responses were received to Haslemere Vision’s consultation on where best to build all the new homes required to meet the borough council’s increased housing targets.

Scenarios suggested for key sites in the town were a new town square development at Wey Hill Fairground car park, an upper storey residential development above the High Street Waitrose car park, and a development of 31 houses at the Youth Campus in Wey Hill.

Haslemere Vision will hold an open meeting to present and discuss the results of the survey at the Haslemere Museum, in High Street, on January 28, at 8pm.

The group hopes as many people as possible will attend to find out how residents see the future for their town and parishes. The results will be available in mid-January. To request an advance copy before the meeting, email [email protected]
