POLICE have issued a call for help after thieves broke into a house in Witley and stole multiple valuable items of jewellery.

A photo of some the stolen gems taken from the property in Yew Tree Road on June 21 has just been issued in and police are appealing to anyone who might have been offered any of them for sale, to get in touch in the hunt to track the thieves down.

Officers believe thieves entered the property via the back door.

A police spokesman said: “Do you recognise these pieces of jewellery pictured? Have you seen any items similar to these appear in your local jewellery shops? Do you own a jewellery shop and have been offered items matching the appearance of these items? If so please get in touch with us by calling 101.

“Did you see or hear anything on Yew Tree Road on June 21? Do you live nearby and have CCTV on your property? You may have caught something, so please get in touch. Likewise, if you have a dash cam in your car and you were driving down Yew Tree Road at some point during the day, you may have captured something. If you saw anything, or you have any information about something you saw or heard or any of the items pictured, call us on 101 quoting reference number PR/45180065524.”
