POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager walking along a footpath was attacked by two men in an attempted robbery. The 18-year-old male had just crossed over to a footpath near the roundabout on the old A3, near Grayshott, when he was grabbed by two men who tried to steal his rucksack and assaulted him in the process. The incident occurred at around 9.45pm, on Friday, August 23, but Surrey Police have only just released details. The offenders headed towards Grayshott. The victim walked to a petrol station to raise the alarm, but was unable to provide a clear description of the offenders. Dc Richard Pegden said: "This was a completely unproved attack on a young man who was simply walking along the road minding his own business.
