HAMBLEDON Parish Council plans to hold a public meeting to discuss a proposal by English Rural Housing Association (ERHA) to build 17 new homes – 12 of them affordable – on a nine-acre site in the green belt and the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.

ERHA's original intention was to build six or seven affordable-only homes in line with identified local need but the parish council and neighbouring residents have concerns about the scale of the proposed development.
