Drivers in and around Waverley will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm October 21 to 6am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A3, from 8pm October 25 to 6am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Thursley, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

A3, from 8pm October 27 to 6am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Thursley, Lane closures for drainage work.

A3, from 8pm October 31 to 6am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Compton to Milford, Lane closures for electrical work.

A3, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Longmoor to Hogsback, carriageway closures for Hindhead Tunnel works, diversions via National Highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
