SHOEBOXES were packed to the brim by boys from Haslemere Preparatory School in aid of Samaritan’s Purse charity initiative, Operation Christmas Child.
Pupils then walked into Haslemere with the more than 125 boxes they had filled (pictured) to drop them off at the High Street collection point, at The Entertainer shop
Headteacher Rob Smith told The Herald: “We like to encourage our boys to think about giving, sharing and thinking of others less fortunate than ourselves and we are delighted to see that they have taken this to heart.”
Pupils Samuel Troy and William Dean beat off stiff competition at the 2015 Inter-Schools Performance Poetry competition to gain highly commended awards.
