ROTARY collections over Christmas around the borough raised £3,000 through three Santa sleigh runs, collections in shops and the High Street and a seasonal raffle.

A Rotary spokesman said: “A huge thank-you goes to all members of our communities and villages for their generous contributions during our Christmas collections – either through people’s donations while out and about doing their Christmas shopping, when visiting Haslemere and the Christmas Market, or during our Santa Sleigh rounds.

“We were delighted to be invited to the Christmas Carols on Lion Green and thoroughly enjoyed contributing to the festive spirit.”
