SURREY Police is appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Haslemere.

The victim was taken to hospital with facial and head injuries after being physically assaulted by a man in the car park of The Swan Inn pub, on the High Street, between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Friday, October 9.

Investigating officer Rachael Richards said: "We are currently carrying out an investigation into the circumstances and believe that there were a number of witnesses in the vicinity. I would urge anyone who saw the incident to come forward and contact Surrey Police with the details. Any information could help bring the person responsible to justice.”
