CHANNEL 4 UK Tree of the Year judge Julian Hight is giving an illustrated talk on the history and legends of the world’s most ancient specimens at Haslemere Museum next month.

The author and photographer captured 100 historic trees in 39 countries around the world and will describe some of the most majestic he encountered on his travels, and his campaigns to save endangered trees.

The event, which starts at 7.30pm, on Wednesday, April 18, is organised by the National Trust’s Black Down and Hindhead supporters group to raise awareness and funds for specific National Trust projects.

Entry is free for members – non-members £3. Wine and soft drinks will be available to purchase.
