AN appeal has gone out from Camelsdale School for help after vandals broke into its Secret Garden and wrecked part of the school’s outdoor learning area, enjoyed by its young pupils.
The vandals targeted the the popular wild school which allows children to pretend to cook using such ingredients as mud and leaves.
Now the school is hoping that someone with a potting table, a sink or low level shelving that they no longer have use will donate it to Camelsdale School for its new kitchen.
Alison Gittings the wild school leader told The Herald: “We are not looking for a beautiful, purpose built, play kitchen, in fact our old mud kitchen was made up of a potting table that you would have in a shed. We need it to be fairly rustic, so that it fits in with the environment of the Secret Garden.”
Offers of suitable items which could be collected if necessary would be appreciated.
Anyone who is able to help is asked to phone Camelsdale School on 01428 642177.
