WITLEY and Milford is staging its own fireworks event on Friday, November 6, adding to many more being staged throughout The Herald area.
The display presented by The Chandler Junior and Witley Infants schools and there will be a barbecue, mulled wine, hot chocolate and a tuck shop.
The fireworks – at The Chandler Junior School at Middlemarch, Roke Lane, Witley, GU8 5PB – are open to all, with the proceeds going towards buying LearnPads and books for Witley Infant School and The Chandler. Gates open at 6pm .
The organisers are encouraging those who live in the village to walk to the event to prevent traffic jams and keep disruption around the village to a minimum.
At 6.30pm there will be a “low bang” display - especially suitable for younger children, at 7.15pm the traditional display starts and the finish is scheduled for 8pm.
Tickets are £5 each, £15 for four tickets and for more than groups of four, £15 plus £2.50 per additional ticket.
