FIND out about changes to bin collections and other council services over Christmas and new year.

Waverley Borough Council’s offices will close for Christmas at 4pm on Friday, December 23. They will reopen at 8.45am on Tuesday, January 3.

• Bin collection dates - rubbish, recycling and food waste will be collected a day later than normal over Christmas and new year.

There are no garden waste collections in the weeks starting December 26 and January 2.

• Emergency contacts - for council housing repairs such as burst pipes and severe leaks in roofs call 0330 119 3000, or 02392 242161 out of hours.

• Green waste collections on Saturday mornings at Wharf Car Park in Woolsack Way, Godalming and St Christopher’s Green Car Park at Wey Hill, Haslemere, will still take place on the mornings of Saturday, December 24 and Saturday, January 2.

• Lost and found dogs - if you lose or find a dog during the Christmas period call Treetops Kennels and Cattery on 01483 572588.

• Public toilets will be closed December 25, 26 and January 1.
