A flood alert has been issued for the Upper River Wey after a prolonged spell of rain in the wake of Storm Henk.
River levels are rising on the River Wey as a result of a period of sustained rain, with the Met Office warning more is to follow on Thursday afternoon.
There is a particular risk of flooding of low lying land in the Tilford and Godalming area over the coming days, with Alton, Farnham, Bordon, Frensham, Guildford and Peasmarsh also included in the alert area.
Property flooding is not currently expected and the Environment Agency is "closely monitoring the situation".
An agency spokesperson said: "Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels."
