RAISING a cuppa for a worthy cause were supporters old and new of Haslemere Amnesty International Group at its first AmnesTea event.

Held on a sunny afternoon the group enjoyed tea with cakes from a delicious display of home-baking, in the garden.

It proved an enjoyable way to not only catch up on Amnesty’s work but also to make new friends.

Amnesty International is a movement of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Its purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.
