A POLICE appeal for witnesses has been launched after an elderly woman suffered serious injuries in a collision just outside Brook on Wednesday evening (June 19)..

The accident on the A286 occurred at 6.27pm when a silver Kia left the road and hit a tree.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The A286 was closed in both directions as emergency services attended the scene.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward, including anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area.
