TWO (pictured) medals are among a number of treasured possessions that Surrey Police hope to reunite with their owners.

More than 200 items stolen in a series of burglaries in Chiddingfold, Godalming and Haslemere have been recovered by police. Some have been returned to their owners, but not all.

Two men aged 43 and 49, were arrested in connection with the spate of burglaries and they are on bail until March 10.

The ‘mystery’ items include a gold and a silver medal, a silver baby spoon engraved with ‘Congratulations’, a blue and white china plate engraved with the year 2003, 15 Goodwood programmes dating from 1963 to 1968 and a gold tie pin.
