SURREY Police have confirmed the identities of the three people who lost their lives in the coach crash on the northbound carriageway of A3 close to Thursley last week.
They are the driver Colin Daulby, 63, from Merseyside, and Michael Molloy, 18, and Kerry Lynne Ogden, 23, both from Liverpool. An inquest into the deaths was opened and adjourned last Friday.
When we went to press on Wednesday, three people were still in hospital. A 21-year-old man was described as having suffered "life-changing injuries" and the other two were both in a "serious condition".
The investigation into how the 52 seater coach – on its way back from the Bestival music festival on the Isle of Wight – collided with a tree after leaving the dual carriageway, just north of the Hindhead Tunnel, is probing if the driver had a heart attack.
Officers had spent time trying to establish exactly how many passengers were on board.
