SCHOOLCHILDREN took part in the official opening of a footbridge over the A3 at Hindhead last Friday.

The Miss James Bridge, which joins two side of Nutcombe Valley just south of the new road tunnel, is for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and, just as importantly, animals.

It is the final crossing of the £371m scheme.
