A large congregation gathered at All Saints Church in Alton on June 18 to mark the 150th anniversary of the laying of its foundation stone.

An exhibition included photos of the church through the years, memories of people and events, clerical robes and new bells, which provided ringing before and after the service and included the All Saints peal.

After the service there was time to celebrate and exchange memories of people and happy times with refreshments and cake. The organisers wish to thank all who brought materials for display and the bell ringers who rang the All Saints peal.
