Art, nature and navigation are combined in an exhibition at the National Trust’s Petworth House and Park.
In GPS Trees, Richard Geraint Evans reveals the intricate beauty of ancient trees through incredibly detailed drawings of different tree specimens found in the park.
Each drawing in the exhibition room of Petworth Servants’ Quarters is accompanied by its own set of GPS co-ordinates, so visitors can go outside to discover the tree for themselves.
Richard became a full-time professional artist in 2010 after a career in advertising and design. His work includes a portrait of singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery.
The exhibition is open 10.30am-3.30pm until December 5. No booking is required but non-members must buy a site ticket to enter. Admission is free for National Trust members.
