EVIDENCE by an author and two former test pilots could be key to a legal battle for unrestricted aviation at Dunsfold Park.

Witley-based author Paul McCue, who wrote a history of Dunsfold Aerodrome up to the departure of BAe in 2000, and Hawker chief test pilots Duncan Simpson, and Chris Roberts have been produced as key witnesses by Dunsfold to support its historical case at appeal.

Waverley Borough Council has set aside a war chest of £75,000 to fight the owners' appeal for unrestricted aviation, which will now be determined by the Secretary of State following a public inquiry that opened at Waverley on Tuesday.
