MEET ‘Coronation Chicken’, Beacon Hill School’s very regal entry to this year’s Haslemere Hen Community Arts Initiative.

Pupils were asked to submit individual designs which were then collated to produce this wonderful hen.

The school has previously been involved with the successful fundraising initiative, having decorated hogs, hares and hounds.

Deputy headteacher Charlotte Nunns said: “This is one of the school’s favourite entries.

“Claire Banks and all the children worked so hard to produce this fantastic piece and it marks a wonderful beginning for the many celebrations we have planned for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.”

The hen will join others at an exhibition in the grounds of the Haslemere museum from May 20.
