A NEW 30mph speed limit at a notorious black spot has been welcomed by Witley Parish Council which has campaigned for many years to reduce the 40mph stretch on the A283 in Milford, between Cherry Tree Road roundabout and Milford Heath Road.

There have been five major accidents in the last two years before the Local Area Committee approved the reduction. Speed Watch will now be monitoring the area.
