Officers investigating the disappearance of Richard Morris have confirmed that they have found a body in Alice Holt Forest.

The discovery was made today (August 31), and while formal identification has not yet taken place, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the 52-year-old’s family had been notified and were being supported by specialist officers.

Hampshire Constabulary previously renewed their appeal for the missing diplomat, after he went missing more than three months ago on May 6, after he went running in the Bentley area.

Police confirmed that the death was not being treated as suspicious, and a file would be prepared for the coroner.
