WHITMORE Vale area residents blighted by ‘snail-speed’ broadband have formulated an action plan following a mass meeting last Friday
The meeting at Hindhead Golf Club was attended by Haslemere Mayor Malcolm Carter and Hindhead county councillor David Harmer.
Cross-county discussions will now be held with Openreach, BT Broadband Hampshire and Surrey Community Fibre teams and all residents of the Whitmore Vale area, who have a telephone number starting 01428 60**** are urged to complain to their internet service provider (ISP) if they are getting slow download speeds or interruptions in their service.
Under new Ofcom introductory regulations, if an ISP gives out misleading information about the speed it can deliver, the customer is entitled to ask for a reduction in the bill.
