FARNHAM’S new state-of-the-art veterinary hospital offered pet owners the chance to go behind the scenes and have a unique glimpse at its vibrant, modern facilities and hi-tech equipment.

Farnham Veterinary Hospital in East Street held an open day on Sunday, November 28 and invited the community through its doors to find out more about how it provides the highest levels of care to poorly pets.

The hospital opened in April and is the largest first-opinion practice in Surrey. It boasts hi-tech equipment to treat sick and injured pets and diagnose health issues and has three large operating theatres, digital X-ray and dental X-ray machines, CT scanner, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and hydrotherapy treadmill.

It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and provides healthcare services such as vaccinations as well as routine and emergency surgical procedures.

Farnham Veterinary Hospital practice manager Heather Carter said: "This is one of the most sophisticated veterinary hospitals in the area.

"Since the hospital opened in April, we’re delighted that 2,500 pets have already been signed up as patients, but the good news is we still have capacity to welcome more clients."
