HASLEMERE Cats Protection Centre, in Upper Hammer Lane, is changing its plans during its rebuilding programme.
The charity is asking Waverley Borough Council to modify its planning permission as it redevelops the site, which is due to reopen in the spring.
After the demolition of existing cat pens and administration building, the cattery is now proposing cat pens spread over four buildings instead of three, in order to reduce the risk of cross-contamination and to give more flexibility between using the pens for maternity or rehoming.
But the number of overall pens has been reduced and the buildings will occupy roughly the same footprint as those already given permission for.
There has also been some repositioning of windows and doors and a ramp added to provide disabled access.
