HASLEMERE turned out in force for the town council’s carols service on Lion Green.
Residents were joined by special guest Father Christmas and enjoyed seasonal delights, including mulled wine and hot chestnuts.
Money was collected for The Rotary Club and the mayor’s charities, which this year are Three Counties Money Advice Service, Haslemere Penny Ha’Penny Trust and Canine Partners.
The festivities began at 6.15pm and Haslemere town crier Christian Ashdown introduced a host of entertainers, including the South Downs Ukele Band.
Further live music was provided around the Christmas tree by Three Counties Church, St Stephen’s Church and Haslemere Community Choir.
Mayor Malcolm Carter told The Herald: “Haslemere Town Council were delighted with the attendance for the Christmas Carols at Lion Green.
“I would like to thank everyone involved in making this happen.
“It was wonderful to see so many of the town’s residents enjoying the carols.”
