Children were inspired to create scenes of marine life at Haslemere Educational Museum.

The activity, which was part of the museum’s summer holiday programme, followed a look at the museum’s Under the Sea exhibition – where the children discovered fascinating facts about creatures who live in the deep.

The children then got busy making 3D dioramas of their own imaginary voyages to the bottom of the sea.

The budding artists – and perhaps future marine biologists – were kept entertained all morning, providing welcome entertainment during the school holidays.

“The children just got on and created,” said Kay Topping, the museum’s education officer. “It was wonderful to see the different scenes they made.”

The museum’s website has a list of its summer sessions for children.
