TOYS came to life in an outdoor production staged by at St Mary's Primary School, Chiddingfold.

Every pupil had the chance to shine in Toy Story, which was also specially adapted by the children.

The annual event was performed on the amphitheatre in the school grounds and there was standing room only as families enjoyed the barbecue before the entertainment.

Headteachers Joanna Jones and Nikki Mackie said: "The school has been staging an outdoor production for nine years.

"Last year one performance was rained off but this year has been glorious.

"It really is a highlight of the school calendar, especially for the year six children who get to play the lead roles before moving onto high school.

"Every year we are amazed by the confidence the children display, the costumes that parents provide and the wonderful production that everyone creates together."
