GRAYSHOTT Cricket Club has scored a direct hit - being selected as one of the first of the Cricket All Star Centres (ASC) in the country starting later this summer.

Would-be players can sign up for a place on the national programme developed by the England Cricket Board (ECB) for five to eight year olds.

The programme is based on fundamental movement skills delivered through fun games by ECB trained coaches, who will lead the sessions at the cricket club.

Parents are actively encouraged to participate and help promote their children’s development and learning.

Every child will receive a branded backpack, bat, ball, hat, drinking bottle and a personalised ASC training tee shirt delivered to their home before they attend.

Grayshott Cricket Club will be running two All Star Cricket Centres, both starting on Saturday, May 20.

At the Sportsfield in Grayshott, there will be 11 hour-long sessions which cost £50 and will start at 9.30am.

At Broxhead Common Cricket Ground, Lindford, there will be eight hour-long sessions which cost £40 and will start at 9am.
